My father whom is 49 yrs of age, is very ill and has been hospitalized since April 12, 2010. He was visiting my Aunt in Mesa, Arizona, when two days before arriving back to his hometown in Chicago, IL, he was rushed by helicopter to St. Joseph’s Emergency Room located in Phoenix, Arizona. Elias had several aneurysms rupture and has had a few strokes. He has been unable to move and talk ever since. My dad has been placed on a ventilator and needs to be fed through a tube that is placed in his stomach area. His doctor at Kindred has notified us that although Elias is stable enough to fly, he needs to do so as soon as possible because he is very fragile. One day he may be fine, but the next day he may be ill. My dad can only be transported via air ambulance due to his condition. It cannot be a commercial flight nor can he travel by ground due to the 1,800 mile trip. We have contacted an air ambulance company and they are charging us $6500.
Therefore, we have resorted to collecting donations to help supplement the cost of transportation for my dad. We need your help. Please consider making a donation for whatever amount you can afford. Any and all donations will be helpful and be very much appreciated. Every donation is a step closer to reaching our goal.
We miss my dad very much. He is a very special person to me and many others. We would all like to see him back home where he belongs with people who loves and cares for him. His youngest daughter (which is about to give birth to his granddaughter) and his oldest daughter and their husbands and last but not least his wife misses him very much. And we know that Elias would want nothing less but to see his granddaughter once she arrives.
Thank you for your prayers, contributions, and acts of kindness, our family will be forever grateful.
